Microsoft Advisor to CSP Service Plan Now Available Worldwide

When Microsoft introduced the Cloud Solution Provider (CSP) program at their World Partner Conference (WPC) in 2014, channel partners were granted a new way to sell Microsoft cloud solutions. With the channel now hungry for more, Ingram Micro announced at WPC 2015 an addition to the CSP program, coined the Microsoft Advisor to CSP Service Plan.

Channel partners worldwide can seamlessly convert Office 365 Advisor subscriptions to the profitable CSP program in a self-service fashion through Ingram Micro’s automated Cloud Marketplace, yielding increased productivity, service margins, and customer loyalty. What’s more, channel partners can now bundle their own value and sell Microsoft offerings alongside their own for enhanced cloud revenue.

Initially offered in Canada, Mexico and the Hong Kong, the service plan now extends to 13 countries including Australia, Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, New Zealand, Spain, Sweden and United Kingdom.

“Ingram Micro remains fully aligned with Microsoft to drive channel sales for Microsoft Cloud Solutions,” said Nimesh Dave, Executive Vice President, Global Cloud, Ingram Micro. “As the first tier-2 partner to automate the conversion of Microsoft Office 365 Advisor subscriptions to CSP through a single portal, we are excited to deliver a service plan that accelerates the transition and the adoption of CSP.”

The Microsoft CSP program is a promising step up from the Microsoft Advisor model, which requires the end customer to purchase directly from Microsoft, thus discouraging channel partners from developing deeper business relationships with their customers. By leveraging the CSP program, channel partners can now maintain complete control of the pricing, billing, and support for Office 365 and deliver a consolidated invoice, saving significant time and hassle for both the reseller and end-user.

“Channel partners who have direct control of their client relationships, have higher retention and greater opportunity for attached services,” said Phil Sorgen, Corporate Vice President, Worldwide Partner Group at Microsoft Corp. “By migrating from Microsoft Advisor to CSP, channel partners can take full control of the advantages of Microsoft Cloud Solutions.”

This exciting new service plan is designed to greatly benefit and support the way the channel sells cloud, but Ingram Micro’s commitment to channel success doesn’t end here. Ingram Micro is providing Office 365 support through the Ingram Micro Service Desk, a fee-based quality-driven offering on the Cloud Marketplace which channel partners can resell to their customers and bundle with other cloud solutions. Customers utilizing the Ingram Micro Service Desk can experience level 1 technical support for front office, desktop, and many IT-related issues via phone, chat, and email from a multilingual team of cloud specialists at any time of the day. Interested channel partners can learn more about the Ingram Micro Service Desk at www.ingrammicrocloud.com/service-desk.

Simplifying success in the cloud is our mantra and with the global availability of the Microsoft Advisor to CSP service plan, it further demonstrates our commitment to this ideology.

Stay tuned for more announcements in the coming months as we continue to expand our cloud reach with our channel partners and vendors around the globe.
