When Microsoft introduced the Cloud Solution Provider (CSP) program at their World Partner Conference (WPC) in 2014, channel partners were granted a new way to sell Microsoft cloud solutions. With the channel now hungry for more, Ingram Micro announced at WPC 2015 an addition to the CSP program, coined the Microsoft Advisor to CSP Service Plan.
Channel partners worldwide can seamlessly convert Office 365 Advisor subscriptions to the profitable CSP program in a self-service fashion through Ingram Micro’s automated Cloud Marketplace, yielding increased productivity, service margins, and customer loyalty. What’s more, channel partners can now bundle their own value and sell Microsoft offerings alongside their own for enhanced cloud revenue.
Initially offered in Canada, Mexico and the Hong Kong, the service plan now extends to 13 countries including Australia, Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, New Zealand, Spain, Sweden and United Kingdom.

The Microsoft CSP program is a promising step up from the Microsoft Advisor model, which requires the end customer to purchase directly from Microsoft, thus discouraging channel partners from developing deeper business relationships with their customers. By leveraging the CSP program, channel partners can now maintain complete control of the pricing, billing, and support for Office 365 and deliver a consolidated invoice, saving significant time and hassle for both the reseller and end-user.
